A $40,000 ceramic mural displayed outside Livermore, CA’s new library includes 11 misspelled names of historic people, reports the Associated Press. City council voted to approve an additional $6000 to pay artist Maria Alquilar to fix the mistakes.
The artist said she would make the changes, but didn’t apologize for the mistakes, which she – nor anyone else- didn’t notice during the murals creation. Mistakes included “Eistein,” “Shakespere” and “Michaelangelo”.
