Waltham High School is a large, complex educational campus designed to support a wide range of academic, athletic, and community functions. The scale of the building and its integration with surrounding streets and parking required a comprehensive signage system that could operate seamlessly across interior and exterior environments.
Bailey Sign delivered a full signage and graphics package spanning wall graphics, jumbo wall graphics, dimensional lettering, interior and exterior wayfinding, parking garage signage, street level signage, window graphics, and required fire safety signage. Each component was developed as part of a unified system, ensuring consistency in typography, materials, and hierarchy across the entire campus.
Large scale jumbo wall graphics play a central role in defining interior spaces, using scale and visual clarity to support orientation and reinforce identity within major corridors and gathering areas. Dimensional letters and identity elements introduce depth and permanence, while window graphics provide wayfinding and visual interest without compromising transparency or daylight. Fire safety and code required signage were carefully integrated to meet regulatory needs while remaining visually consistent with the broader system.
Exterior signage, including street facing elements and parking garage signage, was designed to guide vehicles and pedestrians clearly through arrival, circulation, and departure. Placement and legibility were carefully considered to ensure information is delivered at the right moment, particularly in high traffic and transitional zones.
Fabrication decisions emphasized durability, precision, and long term performance across a wide range of materials and conditions. The resulting signage system supports intuitive navigation, enhances safety, and contributes to a cohesive environment that functions effectively for students, staff, and the broader community.
