Hildreth Elementary School is a carefully designed educational environment where architecture, graphics, and signage work together to support learning, orientation, and a strong sense of place. The signage and graphics for this project were developed as fully integrated architectural elements, intended to feel intentional, durable, and seamlessly embedded within the building.
Bailey Sign served as the signage and graphics fabricator, translating a highly developed design vision into precisely executed built work throughout the school. The scope included jumbo wall graphics, custom architectural signage elements, window graphics, custom identity signage, and a comprehensive wayfinding system. Each component was fabricated with close attention to material behavior, alignment, and tolerance, ensuring consistency across varied surfaces and complex conditions.
The jumbo wall graphics were a defining feature of the project and required a high level of precision in both fabrication and installation. Large format graphics were carefully produced and aligned to maintain continuity of imagery, color, and scale across extended wall surfaces. Installation sequencing and surface coordination were critical to achieving a seamless result that reads as part of the architecture rather than an applied layer.
Throughout the project, fabrication decisions were guided by durability, finish quality, and long term performance in an active school environment. The resulting signage and graphics system supports intuitive navigation while reinforcing a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
The signage and graphics design for Hildreth Elementary School has received significant recognition, including a 2022 Global Merit Award for Placemaking and Identity from Society for Experiential Graphic Design and a First Award for Signage Design Built from Rethinking The Future Awards. We are proud to have supported an award winning design through disciplined fabrication and execution.
